Highlight Pyrotechnics - News

Highlight 'burn the wick' in Mid Wales

Highlight stepped up to the challenge from a Community and Arts project to produce four fire sculptures representing Earth, Wind, Water and Fire, all accompianied by their own flavour of pyrotechnic effect and music, topped of with a resounding firework finale. After a difficult and rather damp day rigging, including the equipment truck having to be towed around a sodden field several times, a welcome break in the weather allowed the final preparation to be completed for what turned out to be an amazing combination of firework effects.

In the words of Deborah Peck, Project Manager, CARAD (Community Arts Rhayader And District):

I wanted to say a HUGE thankyou for the amazing fire show and fireworks on Friday night, you blew me away, I was so chuffed with everything that you did.  Your creativity, professionalism, safety awareness and general loveliness is fantastic.  It has been a joy to work with you. Locally people have been raving about the show.  Here's a few of the comments: "The Best Firework display ever seen in Mid Wales".  "It blew my mind, the music was amazing!"  They parents of the youngsters involved in the music creation said that they were really proud when they heard their music in tandem with the amazing Fire show.

Thanks guys, you are tremendous.  I will definitely recommend you again and again.

Pictures to be added soon!

300th Anniversary of the granting of the Royal Charter for Whitehaven

Highlight will be providing a pyrotechnical spectacular to support the Status Quo concert being held as part of the Whitehaven Royal Charter 300th anniversary.

Tickets for the Concert on the 2nd August this year are selling like hotcakes confirming the decision to choose this fantastic band to headline for the celebrations. The concert is being organised to mark the 300th Anniversary of the granting of the Royal Charter for Whitehaven. Status Quo are rock legends and the only British Band to outsell them are the Rolling Stones. Whitehaven are absolutely thrilled that they have agreed to play the venue and aim to host the best party that Cumbria has ever seen.

One Night with the Quo will be the first outdoor Rock Concert ever held in Whitehaven and is on course to be one of the biggest ever held in the County.
