Highlight pyrotechnics are continually looking for new crew members.
If you enjoy fireworks and want to work on a show; Highlight run a yearly training
course for new crew members.
The cost is £30 and includes your training manual.
Come on one show and get your £30 back.
If you enjoy the experience then we can
sign you up and you get paid for any show you do after that so long as you keep
up your training.
New recruitments must be available for work over the busy periods.

2. How do you choose your display?
Designed specifically for Health & Safety and events officers, it provides enough information to enable you to make a decision with confidence, ensuring that the company you select is offering value for money and is complying with all the relevant legislation. The course includes how to assess if a company is acting within the new fireworks legislation, how to compare products within a quotation for value for money and much more.

3. Managing the risks
Risk assessment (risk management) is now used in all businesses and is often something that is feared by many employers and employees so what better way to train your staff then by a pyrotechnic company.
This course shows how simple it can be to assess and then manage the risks even in a constantly changing environment. We put this across in an informative, but fun way, that will enthuse and educate your staff in this key area.
It is also available as a one hour lecture. This was given for the environmental health officers conference in 2004 and was deemed by many attendees to be the most useful and practical guide to risk assessment they have ever seen.

4. Firework education
This is designed for schools and colleges to educate pupils about the risk of misusing fireworks.
It can be made to suit all different types of environments and all different ages. It explains the dangers of fireworks misuse but also has a fun element to it, making education fun.

5. Corporate Training
Looking for an unusual but fun team building exercise, then why not try Highlight Pyrotechnics corporate training day. Have your teams arrange and design their very own display, deal with awkward neighbours and the authorities and finish it off with a firework competition.
2 days is preferred for this course but can be simplified into a 1 day course if required.

6. Stadium & Stage Pyrotechnics
Stadium & Stage pyrotechnics is a very specialist area. We do two different types of course, one for events companies and stadiums that are looking to have either stadium or stage pyrotechnics.
This course tackles the major issues including safety processes required and how to assess a pyrotechnics company for competence. We will answer questions like "what is the difference between fireworks and pyrotechnics" and we will show you what kind of safety equipment and procedures should be used.
The second course is a training course for pyrotechnic companies who are working in this field and want to learn more and make sure they are working safely. This course will be designed specifically to your company's needs and will be interactive to ensure safe working practices are being adhered to without compromising your imaginative approach.

7. General Health & Safety
Highlight provides a number of general health and safety courses from events management to firework displays. We also provide specific courses for firework companies to help answer questions on the new legal issues that affect our industry. Training material can also be produced that will suit your requirements.
